Everything was gorgeous, the property, the room, the swimming pool, the restaurant, the location, the stuff.
The tricky thing was driving the last few miles… the road is unpaved in the middle of nowhere and the GPS is telling: prepare to park and walk to the property… at this point you don’t see the property… but driving for another 100 m there is the gate and as soon as you enter you feel at home… a oasis in the middle of the Berber country. We got there late , very late, the restaurant it was closed and the cook ready to go home , but he turned around and found ( his words) a little bit of couscous, just a little… it was enough for both of us , this is the service you get at that property . Too bad I couldn’t book another night. Our room is the only room at the second floor ( the presidential suite) 🤣 overlooking the swimming pool the garden and the mountains… a million dollars view!

The setting. Very spacious with terraces and courtyards. Kamal was our host and guide during our short stay. He took us trekking in the mountains and the Berber villages. He introduced us to the local people. We ate delicious local meals, talked to the local potters, etc

The Moorish House is located in the town of Aghmat. About 45 min drive south of Marrakech. It’s a bit of drive and off the beaten path. But it is a good option if you have many guests traveling together as there are multiple beds and lots of space. It is safe and the neighbors were friendly. A good option is you want an authentic experience.

The guesthouse and surrounding gardens are absolutely gorgeous. There are several terraces with great views of the surrounding valley and mountains. The guesthouse has several gardens inside its walls and they were great for relaxing, exploring, and playing hide and go seek with our daughter. Mustafah and his sister and nephew were wonderful hosts. The two dinners we ate were delicious and very interesting, with a lot of local ingredients from their gardens. Mustafah always looked out for our comfort and offered to make us lunch and came by with tea and local sweets when he found us relaxing in the gardens. The rooms were spacious and quiet and the décor throughout our room and the entire guesthouse was attractive and interesting. The guesthouse is located close to the river and it was easy for us to walk the surrounding dirt streets and take in the views and great weather. It felt very safe. Overall, it is a special place and great value and I would definitely go back if in the area.

Food, staff, location of La Terra Rosa , were all fantastic. Room is clean, peaceful, has comfortable bed, and very cozy. We loved how it is located away from the craziness of the Medina. A traditional Moroccan breakfast is included and provided each morning at La Terra Rosa. And of course we took advantage of the garden, terrace, and the outdoor swimming pool that we enjoyed the most. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone!
