After experiencing a let down with a hotel that we had already booked, we booked this hotel at the last minute and we are sooo glad we did. They staff was amazing, the food was excellent and we had a great time walking the grounds and enjoying the quiet. Highly recommend!!

We loved the location and loved the little cabin looking out over the field. It was close to the city yet far enough away that we had the impression we were in the countryside. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. See photos --watch your steps up and down the staircase in the cabin as the 'railing' is a loose rope! We chose not to avail ourselves of the meals they prepared and had offered to bring to our room, but we're sure they're yummy fresh from their farm. There's a swimming pool and large sundeck area. They are presently building a massive spa building and have plans to build more A-frame cabins over their 20 acre property. It's a wonderful dream they are fulfilling.
Having said that, to add to my comments below... the next morning when we left the road took us past the horror of their falconry cages and the one chained outside to a chair. We had been told he was mean to people. Well, if you were chained to a chair or rock so you couldn't move, you'd probably be upset too. It's how dogs go mad-by chaining them so they can't move but a little bit. I was so distraught. The geese/duck cage was small, not clean. Oh... and they had separated one of the goats from the heard and tied him up away from everything. Unsure why but clear to see he was not a happy goat. Maybe he was meant for supper. I gave him my apple.
