Nice location in the forest. Very good facilities in the room. Free and easily accessible parking. Good wellness with several facilities. Very friendly and helpful personnel. The breakfast was satisfying with a lot of options.

The place is just beautifull, mountains are greal I love it in different time of the year. Transport is great however if you are paying for cable cars it can get expensive but simillary you will pay the price in different countries. If skying it is worth booking the passes in advance as it saves a lot of money.

My 3rd time in High Tatra' and decided to stay for a month this time and loving it! Too many peeks to climb 😉. Very well marked trails with beautiful nature. Plenty of high peeks to climb although for some certified guide is required. And don't be fooled that the highest peeks are not as high as in the alps...it is very hard work and training is required to be able to climb them. Definitely a contender to Alps

Beautiful area especially in early June (15-30) when it's not overrun by tourists. Great for families and larger groups with many activities for each generation. Recommended visits: spa treatment at the Grand Hotels at Kempinski, Grand Hotel, and Hotel Lominca; hiking or taking a cable car to the 'plesa'--mountain lakes.

If you are into challenging hiking this is the place to be.
If you are into challenging hiking this is the place to be. There is skiing in winter, but we were there in summer and loved it. Be prepared for the language barrier: English is not much understood, probably better if you speak German. Luckily staff at the cableways and important tourist sites do speak English.

Most stunning mountain range of the country, with rocky...
Most stunning mountain range of the country, with rocky peaks and glacial lakes, breathtaking alpine-style landscapes, however also the most touristy region. After a windstorm of 2004 hesitantly transitioning from spruce plantation (that the locals are used to for a century) to the real mixed resilient forest. A perceptible tug-o-war between developers (skiing facilities, sterile grey hotels) and those wishing to preserve the original wilderness for less-heavy sort of tourism.
Nice wooden chalets, although often with socialist era habits and attitudes of the staff. Quite lacking in cozy individual huts. Slightly underwhelming transport (too infrequent) and missing more historical vehicles (trams, trains, ...). All a bit utilitarian and sterile, without added charm. Particularly a lack of non-template cafes with some charm is astonishing.
Sometimes absurdly high prices for the accommodation and food, inadequate to the generally lacking I-can-help-you-with-that-attitude among locals, sour faces and snapping. I appreciate that many facilities have started making their own food (not just microwaving pre-made industrial meals, the nemesis of Slovak tourism), even if the choice is often too much meat/flour/potatoes (i.e. Slovak taste) which may be difficult for many western visitors. It got better, with quite some way to improve - if there was a will for it.
I recommend all the nature hikes, particularly to the higher altitudes, peaks, tarns. Tasting different chalet teas. Visiting Podbanske spa, or Hotel Atrium spa. The Poprad & Besenova spas are overcrowded with local and Polish families with children. Slovakia unfortunately does not have proper sauna/spa culture in blood, these are often just mechanical imitations of western facilities.

Really nice mountains with great access by train, everything is in relatively short distance. Really nice small villages such as Stary Smokovec, Tatranska Lomnica. Easy hikes with kids on Strbske Pleso, Popradske pleso and Hrebienok and other beautiful places such as Zelene pleso, Skalnate pleso etc.
We have enjoyed our stay in the Grand hotel however the hotel didn't met our expectations completely. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay, very good choice of food although the hot buffet (omelette/eggs requests) wasn't attended when we wanted to put the order in. Otherwise everything was fresh and we enjoyed the breakfast.
The rooms were clean and spacious.
The location of the hotel is perfect, not far from the train station and close to many restaurants and cafes with beautiful views of the mountains.
Location - very close to the hiking trails and elevator to the mountain.
Free parking, so no need to use paid parking in the resort, because everything is in walking distance.
Clean, well-equipped apartment with chairs in the terrace. Comfortable beds. Coffee machine in the room.
Breakfast was very good with a good selection and timing of the breakfast was early enough for upcoming hikes (7.30-10.00)
We extended our initial stay in this hotel because we liked it a lot
Amazing hotel with a great view of the lake. Breathtaking scenery. Hotel is super clean and staff is very helpful and professional. Food, service, room service, cleaning ladies all are at the highest level imaginable. Spa is definitely worth the visit as well. We enjoyed our stay fully and will be back for sure.
Comfortatble 2 rooms, smaller sleeping (4 person van sleep) and bigger day-room with kitchen anex. Kitchen good equipped.
Also some books, included guides (slovakia, Tatry) and board games :)
In hotel you cna buy some stuff (food, drinks) and good resting area (also for kids).
Also great place for car (garage)
It's not a 5-star hotel, but the apartment was spacious and clean. The shower was very small though. A small supermarket is a 2-minute walk but lacks many products. The town of Tatranska Lomnice is small and a bit sleepy. Looking back, we would have preferred to stay in the near-by town of Stary Smokovec.
Very stylish and comfortable. We crashed for one night and was exactly what we needed to relax and get back energy. We had two meals evening and morning and both were pretty good. Although we didn't use it the spa looks amazing and the hotel surroundings is developed and blends with the nature.
Location on walking distance of center village no need to use car for going hiking, train gets you easy to all nice places. Apartment was well equipped, clean and spacious for 2. Wellness and sauna good but if you book to early (1700) then it is 60C.
Convenient parking spot with ample room and spacious spots.
Great location near the funicular and many great restaurants.
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Even though not everyone is fluent in English, they try their best.
The hotel has a wonderful location with an exceptional restaurant experience. The sommelier as well as the staff are wonderful. We highly recommend dining at the hotel, especially for breakfast.
