Albaicin, Granada – hotely

Situated in Granada, 200 metres from San Juan de Dios Museum, Shine Albayzín features a tour desk and free WiFi throughout the property. Excellent is everything: location, stuff, room facilities, cleanness and comfort.

Located in Granadas old town, this charming hotel has been lovingly refurbished from a beautiful, historical town house. The hotel itself is beautiful, and is an amazing option for being right in the Albaicin BUT with convenient parking! The highlight though without a doubt has to be the host... Ingo gives attention to all guests to make you truly feel at home. We had a limited time in Granada and he went over with us detailed suggestions for a possible walking route to take, places to eat, and directions on how to get to the Alhambra for our morning tour (when he spotted a potential discrepancy in our palace entry time and our tour guide's meeting time, he immediately took the initiative and called the tour company for us to clear it up). For those who worry about arriving in the Albaicin by car, the directions to the parking are excellent (even including a short video) and while the streets are a bit narrow, the parking garage itself is spacious and very comfortable to park in. As others have mentioned, the bus to the Alhambra is very simple to navigate, and leaves just 15 meters away from the hotel. (Ingo recommends taking the bus there and then walking back--wise advice so that you're fresh and ready for a lengthy tour, but can still enjoy the pleasant park and streets on the return route). Another highlight is the hotel's welcoming attitude towards those who have checked out but need a place to leave luggage and even rest up with some tea/fresh lemonade before actual departure. Aside from all this praise, we found the hotel services to all be excellent--a comfortable bed, a very clean bathroom, a tasty breakfast (with the option of a picnic breakfast for those who have an early booked Alhambra tour...). All in all an excellent choice for a Granada stay. And thank you again Ingo for making our visit such a delight!

Set in Granada, 400 metres from Granada Cathedral, Mirador del Jazmín offers accommodation with a garden in a building dating from 16th Century. This is a lovely mudéjar style house with beautiful rooms (with artistic details) and a truly wonderful host, Jésus. Everything was great, thank you.

Situated in the historic district of Albayzin, at the foot of the Alhambra, this offers unique accommodation within a noble house dating back to the end of the 15th century. This hotel is the perfect location if you are coming to Granada to visit the Alhambra. Very old but exceptionally well maintained boutique hotel. There are also some nice restaurants nearby for lunch.Staff (Miguel & Victor) were very helpful organizing Alhambra tickets and a private guide for us. Breakfast was a very nice buffet, including eggs or omelette freshly prepared if you want them. Highly recommend this hotel

Location was great. The central courtyard very welcoming for relaxation after a day of exploring, especially with the daily complimentary 4:30 afternoon tea

Casa del Capitel Nazarí is a 16th-century palace in Granada’s Medieval Moorish quarter of Albayzín. It has an ornate Andalusian courtyard and offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Beautiful historical building. Friendly and helpful staff

The 16th-century Palacio De Santa Ines, set in the Unesco World Heritage Albayzín district, is 5 minutes’ walk from Granada Cathedral. Very charming historic building close to everything including the Alhambra, which can be reached in a short walk through Puerta de La Justicia including at night if you go for a night visit. Staff is kind and helpful.

Hotel Macià Plaza is located in central Granada’s Plaza Nueva, just below the Alhambra. It offers a 24-hour front desk and modern, air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. pretty clean and close to everything

Hotel Palacio de Mariana Pineda is a renovated 17th-century palace in the Albaycín district of Granada, facing the Alhambra. It offers free Wi-Fi and a variety of beauty and massage treatments. This hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. I can't recommend it highly enough, it's located in a great location, where it's very walk able to any part of Granada with a slight view of the Alhambra. Right next door are great cafes and it's walkable to pretty much any part of the city. I can't wait to come back! Tons of character in this hotel and the entrance you walk through multiple court yards. Taxi's drive you within 100m of the hotel.
