Can't think of a better location for tourists in Madrid. Staff 10/10. They were super friendly and helpful! Bed 10/10. Our room had a king sized bed with quality pillows, sheets etc. Great shower. Great water pressure and temperature range. Great breakfast. Breads, fruits, cereals, churros, Nutella, etc etc. I did not have the breakfast included, but paid extra once for it. Also, they serve breakfast until noon, which is great! Clean room with air conditioner (I visited it during summer).

Das Catalonia Puerta del Sol empfängt Sie in einem prächtigen Gebäude aus dem 18. Jahrhundert im historischen Zentrum von Madrid. Der Platz Puerta del Sol liegt nur wenige Minuten entfernt. The location was excellent for everything we wanted to do in Madrid. The staff were, without exception, welcoming, polite, helpful and friendly. It was my partner´s birthday and they had upgraded our room which we thanked them for. On returning to our room in the late afternoon we found a bottle of complimentary cava and two glasses with a really lovely personal birthday message. We could not get over what a truly lovely gesture this was and it made my partners day!. The breakfast was also very good and again the staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and well-appointed, even with an iron and proper ironing board - we usually have to ask for threse! This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in in Madrid and we would highly recommend it to anyone. We will certainly use it again! Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful experience!!
