Renovated in 2018, the 4-star Hotel Alto Lido is located in Funchal’s prime area – Lido, 2.5 km from the city centre. The hotel is excellent and good price! The breakfast is more than you could imagine or able to eat. Super clean and modern! Definitely recommend!

As part of the Vila Porto Mare resort, this hotel offers 4 restaurants, 6 bars and 5 swimming pools. Porto Mare features an extensive tropical garden on the Atlantic oceanfront. Great hotel, friendly staff and good food. Pools are are great and the gardens beautiful. Very nice experience provided.

Set within a leafy garden, this hotel boasts an outdoor pool overlooking Funchal coastal cliffs. Pestana Vila Lido Madeira Ocean Hotel‘s studios are spacious and decorated with soft beige colours. The staff was really friendly, location is great, as hotel is right by the ocean. In the evening the sound od waves is the only thin one hears. Self service buffet breakfast was great, there is a lot of choises. When weather was good, you can eat on the terrace. And semi circular room gives beautiful views of the ocean and cliffs near Funchal. Would come again!

Located close to Funchal’s city centre, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Meliã Madeira Mare offers free WiFi, an indoor and outdoor pool and a spa. Exceptional hotel in a dream location. Comfort, spacious room, cleanliness, quiet, very friendly and competent staff. Varied buffet breakfast, for all tastes, with quality dishes. Dinner was a very pleasant surprise, buffet style, with a different theme for each evening, again great quality and diversity. The idea of ​​the voucher for four dinners with a discount is very inspiring. A tip for those who want to make a reservation: opt for the room with a full view of the ocean. You won t regret!

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient good location near the city center. The staff is very responsive and polite. A huge advantage of the hotel is that it has its own free underground parking for clients. There is quite a wide variety for breakfast, although not extremely large, but everything is very tasty and fresh. Coffee is from large coffee machines, but, as I understand it, from coffee beans, since coffee takes quite a long time to make, but it turns out very tasty, aromatic and excellent.

Located in Lido, just a 5-minute walk from the oceanfront promenade in Funchal, the recently refurbished Allegro Madeira offers 2 restaurants, an outdoor pool, 360º rooftop bar, spa and fitness... The breakfast was very good, with a great selection. It was a very nice touch with the sparkling wine option.
