Situated in the picturesque village of Monte, surrounded by extensive mature gardens, this historic manor house hotel offers elegant rooms with a balcony. So glad we have booked stay at Quinta do Monte, beautiful place, rooms were excellent, very clean, all rooms have balcony and the view on lovely garden and chapel, and view on the island and sea; botanical gardens and cablecar are just around the corner; lovely and helpful staff, borrowed kettle to the room with no issues; there are many parking places for your car within hotel area, however hotel is also well connected via bus, two bus stations are 5 min walk from hotel, we have been using buses everyday, ride to the centre is about 20-25 min; biggest surprise were breakfasts which were very very good, choice of eggs, meat, and fresh fruits and veggies, fresh bread and buns, cereals and yogurts, and very good coffee/ hot chocolate from the machine.

Located amongst the famous gardens of Monte, in the heart of this romantic and lush village in the hills above Funchal, OurMadeira - Babosas Village, gardénias and greenspaces features spacious... We had a wonderful time, stayed at the suite, because it was the only one with a king bed. Didn't have a balcony, but we only spent time at the hotel to sleep and have breakfast so it wasn't a big deal. Big space, nicely decorated, very very clean. It's a boutique hotel with only a few rooms, so very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very helpful, specially mr. Hugo, who made us feel very welcoming. Breakfast at the terrace with a beautiful view was perfect. We would' t think twice to choose Babosas Village again!

First of all José was an amazing person and really nice and friendly and My family and I were really really happy with the hospitality that they brought to us to stay on this beautiful island of Madeira we would definitely stay here again one day in the Future! Very nice property in a very nice location. Perfect for a romantic stay or even a getaway with one kid as well as for the hiking starting point - right in the middle of everything. Very nice stuff, very authentic experience.

If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to escape the crowds, this is the place for you. From the hut you can hike directly towards Pico do Areeiro.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!
