It only took us about 10 minutes to walk into central Buxton, where there were plenty of restaurant options. The hosts were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. We were travelling with a one-year-old and they made sure that we had everything we needed, plus were able to give us family-friendly ideas for things to do and places to eat. Superb location. Interesting history. I score it 9/10 because of the little things that let it down, such as a broken lock on the bathroom door and the breakfast chef not being able to cook porridge despite two attempts.
