Our host was amazing The host of the bed and breakfast was truly wonderful—warm, welcoming, and incredibly thoughtful. The place itself was beautiful, and she made us feel right at home. She went out of her way even kindly adjusting the breakfast menu for me without hesitation. We had a genuinely nice chat over breakfast; her warmth and friendliness really stood out. She was just lovely—an accommodating host who clearly cares about the little details that make a stay special.

Wonderful, picturesque village location, perfect for a stop off on the South Downs Way, lovely characterful room ['Grace'], separate from the pub, most excellent breakfast, good evening meal too. Very warm and friendly staff. The pub got very busy at 5 - 7 though with locals and walkers popping in for a pint.

On Eastbourne seafront, Ebor Lodge offers well-appointed rooms and a full breakfast menu.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and the extra touches (bottles of shampoo and shower gel instead of those environmentally unfriendly individual toiletries, provision of flannels, the sweets)

All lovely except for a large family who let their small children run wild around the hotel, including jumping off the sides of the grand staircases..

The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the stay very child friendly, we had our two young daughters with us and they provided a cot, high chair at breakfast and children's portions of the cooked breakfast. The room was very spacious great that we were all in one room.

Room was spotless, loved the finishing touches: plenty of milk for drinks, sweets for children, (we booked a family room no children, but the thought was there for families). Plenty of space to hang clothes plus extra baskets to store other items. Host was very welcoming. We will be back to stay at Ebor Lodge in the near future.

Great size family room, children area was off the main room. There was a fan if needed but opening the window kept the room cool and it was a reasonably quiet road. Shower was good, beds comfy and big pillows. Lift up to floors and soft drinks available to buy at reception. 10 min walk to pier, but just a few mins to a stoney beach and a few mins from some restaurants. More shops/restaurants within 10 mins walk. Charlie Browns was fantastic for the kids.

Family of 4 with 2 small children. We've never stayed in a YHA before, so expectations were low! We expected shared bathroom, noise and worn out place. We were wrong in all aspects. Rooms have private bathrooms, place has a noise policy and everything is maintained very nicely. We stayed during heatwave, so room was stuffy, however that is not down to the property, but the extreme weather. Easy access to the seafront and plenty of shops nearby. Happy to recommend!
