Shane provided us with everything we needed. Lovely room and huge bathroom, silence at night, wonderful breakfast, everything was so well done and we are so grateful. As a host, he's the very best of the best!!! He directed us to a lovely walk the evening we arrived and to two grand choices for dinner within walking distance. Then if that wasn't enough, he then gave us at least two full days of where to go, where to park, and where to dine on our northern drive. He introduced us to Stamford and Burghley House, which we never would have known of and is truly one of the most historic and charming large villages in all of England. So happy we made his acquaintance. Exceptional person and perfect place to stay. Many many thanks!

The cottage was just beautiful. So cosy and comfortable and very tastefully furnished and decorated. There was fresh bread and milk on arrival, excellent communication from the host and very clear directions to reach and access the property. The small garden adjacent to our end cottage was perfect for the dogs - they sat and looked out over the amazing fields and countryside. Very quiet and tranquil - a perfect base to travel for work but I just didn’t want to leave it! Huge thanks to the host for getting in touch so quickly about the chargers I left too! Cannot thank her enough.

Everything was great, a nice apartment in the centre of the city. Sam was a great host as well. Overall, it was a great stay for the whole family (2 adults + 2 young children)
Rooms were very clean, hotel was spotless, staff were friendly and welcoming. Pool was brilliant, clean and perfect for a short stay. Breakfast had a large variety and was brilliant for a family with a picky toddler.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, particularly Chris, who went above and beyond to accommodate us, when arriving very early to attend a family funeral. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The room was great, it had an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, kettle, tv, free wifi. Really comfortable bed. Room fan was great as it was very warm last night.
The breakfast was good quality food.
We will definitely stay here again when we visit the relatives again. Thank you all.
This is our second time staying at Orton Hall whilst visiting family, we loved the location last time and the children loved the pool and on returning we were surprised to have an even better stay than before! We came during the heatwave and the room was cooled by open windows and TWO fans, and we had brought our own too. The pool was amazing to enjoy with the kids and keep cool! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful too.
The Black Horse was perfect for our one night stay with family. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean, with comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was fabulous. If you have small children there’s even a play park in the garden. Best of all, it is superb value for money.
