A lovely stay at this unique accommodation. Mark is a fantastic host who is very affable and welcoming. The hut is a short walk from the town centre and opposite the coffee. Despite its cosy size, it doesn't feel cramped and can easily accommodate 2 adults. The shower and bathroom are surprisingly roomy. Very easy to recommend.

We stayed in one of the Beckside suites, and the room was beautiful. We had wide windows and thick curtains, and the shower was enormous. The whole place was nicely decorated, and the food was really great. The staff on reception sorted us out a taxi, and were very kind.

Everything was great, the garden was a great little sun trap.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The location, the cottage was perfect for our family with kids, parents and a pet.
Well enquipped kitchen, comfortable beds, well maintained. Thank you.
The restaurant on site had great food and service, with a lovely play park. The pool is also available for children and families the whole time, which made for a great atmosphere and family experience.
Lovely facilities, great that we could also visit the hotel swimming pool. Kids loved watching the baby geese and ducks in the morning.
Was a lovely thought for the owners to bring milk and ice packs.
Really relaxing stay to get back to nature. Good location to walk down the canal into the town.
The location was perfect, an ideal stay for a birthday weekend away with the family. Walking distance to the canal, we had a lovely time, went to Skipton Castle and then a nice walk the following day. Supermarket was very near by, so instead of going out for a meal it felt extra nice to stay in enjoy the space with Pizza and Ice-Cream. I have three children and it's sometimes difficult to accommodate, this place was above my expectations and lots of attention to detail.
This property is fantastic full of caractor and charm very very comfortable. The master bedroom is beautiful and the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. Other beds are also very comfortable according to family.Kitchen is well equipped and stylish. Hot tub was fun and well used.all and all a fantastic weekend we are looking forward to next family celebration we will definitely be back.
Very well located for town centre (8 mins walk along the canal tow path or 12 mins via road) and adjacent to a fabulous park with a great children’s playground. There is also an indoor swimming pool across the park.
The house was spotlessly clean with good sized bedrooms and a well stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay - 4 adults, 2 children and a Labrador.
We stayed for one night in the family room two adults a teenager a tween and a cockerpoo! Plenty of space for all of us. Staff were welcoming, room was clean, shower excellent, beds comfortable, plenty of choice for breakfast. We will stay again 🥰
Lovely week exploring the area. House was perfect for our needs, family friendly and comfortable. The kitchen needs topping up a bit with cutlery etc, an airer and a high chair would have been useful also. But this didn't impact our stay.
The location couldn't have been better: right in the heart of Skipton, and with free parking, too! Flat Cap Cottage is a home from home, and perfect for our family of four with teenagers. Personally, I don't think the photographs truly fully capture how beautiful this cottage is - we don't want to leave! It's a gem of a place and we will be back. Thanks to the hosts for the thoughtful welcome pack - it was much appreciated.
