When we had trouble getting a rental car, they went out of their way to help us secure one, which was a huge relief. Their hospitality truly made this place feel like home. With the breathtaking sea view and incredible care from the hosts, we wouldn’t think twice about coming back if we return to Madeira.

This hilltop country farmhouse is the perfect retreat for relaxation and solitude. The Hosts Laura and her father are excellent from attention to details and communication skills to providing special goodies upon arrival. There are many places to see on this island but we just did not want to leave the peaceful setting of this very special accommodation. Cats come with this deal and in my opinion make this place feel like home away from home. We love, love, love Quinta Terezinha and we how you will too!

We had a beautiful stay at Moinho de Comandante - if you're looking for somewhere really special and memorable to stay, you won't regret booking Carlos' beautiful home. He has created a real oasis with a stunning garden, overlooking a beautiful river, nestled in a verdant valley. We watched ducks looking after their ducklings from our window, walked along the river and around the beautiful grounds, and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty breakfast prepared for us each morning. The house is cosy and charming and has all you could need. We used it as a base for many terrific hikes - it is near the popular lookout at Ribiero Frio, and it is easy to access alot of the other beautiful trials Madeira has to access.
