Aria Villas: Good Stay, Horrible Management in Crisis Aria Villas is a solid 6/10. It’s in a good location, close to everything you’d want, and it has all the typical facilities you’d expect from a private villa. One important thing to know before you book: the bathrooms are completely outdoors, which means you’ll be sharing your shower with bugs and lizards whether you like it or not. Overall, we had a good experience until one absolutely disgusting incident ruined it. I booked a local taxi (not through Gojek or Grab — my mistake), and after a fare dispute where the driver tried to double the quoted price, things got physical. The driver verbally abused me, pushed me, and shoved me right in the lobby of Aria — and shockingly, the staff did absolutely nothing. They stood there looking half-asleep, like they had just woken up from a nap, and didn’t lift a finger to help or de-escalate the situation. For a property that presents itself as “luxury,” this kind of complete staff inaction during a guest assault is not just disappointing — it’s utterly disgraceful. If you’re planning to stay here, enjoy the location and the villa — but don’t expect the staff to have your back when it actually matters.
