Our recent stay at Maison Jullian was nothing short of exceptional, and the warmth and hospitality of hosts Candy & Charles truly elevated the entire experience. From the moment we arrived until the day we reluctantly departed, we felt incredibly welcomed and well-cared for. Maison Jullian itself is a gem. Perhaps it was the charming decor, the comfortable and well-appointed room, the beautiful garden, terrace, and the overall peaceful and inviting atmosphere. It truly felt like a home away from home, offering a perfect blend of comfort and character. I'd describe it as boutique guesthouse with a personal touch. However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional hospitality of Candy & Charles. They are the epitome of perfect hosts – incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring their guests have a wonderful time. They were able to offer excellent recommendations of places nearby to explore and restaurants to eat at. The breakfast was 10/10 with a selection of cheeses, meats, pastries, pancakes and museli with hot drinks and fresh juices, all included in the room rate. We also opted for the evening 4 course meal with wine pairing which was delicious and made with ingredients from local suppliers. We'll hopefully be back for a visit soon.

Everything except for the lack of an elevator which proved to be a challenge.

Hotel is close to the center and within walking distance. Driving is not for the faint of heart, nor is finding parking in the area, so drive to the hotel, park and walk the city. Breakfast was good and the staff, despite my really lousy French, was helpful and friendly.

Domaine de la Vidalle features an open-air bath and air-conditioned accommodations in Vendres, 4.6 miles from Fonserannes Lock.

Housed in a charming 19th-century building, the Hôtel Saint-Alban offers well-equipped rooms with lovely views of the picturesque village of Nézignan-l'Évêque or the Languedoc vineyards.

The room was super clean, and the bathroom was sparkling. The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was great; plenty of variety and delicious food. The location was good and parking was easy. One thing that should be advertised is that the hotel is more like a bed and breakfast place than a hotel. It doesn't have staff after 8PM. If we were 5 minutes late we wouldn't find someone to open the door for us. But they leave instructions on the door to call a number and someone would come to let us in and help us with the luggage if any. The staff was extra nice and kind. And because we were late they were trying to reach us on the phone to let us know they were leaving. Luckily, we arrived 4 minutes before 8PM.
