Ten miles from Newcastle, The Bowes Incline Hotel offers en suite rooms and a 100-seat restaurant. Rooms are well equipped with TV, free Wi-Fi and coffee and tea-making facilities.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, clean, and very comfortable. Food was delicious and piping hot. Even saw some baby bunny rabbits hopping about outside of my window. Would definitely stay again.

Located in Stanley, 4.8 km from Beamish Museum, Black Horse Beamish provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Had a fantastic stay at The Black Horse and genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. Right from the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming. When we realised our fridge wasn’t working, they went above and beyond to try and resolve the issue, and we really appreciated the effort they put in. The food was excellent, and our room was extremely comfortable, making it a very relaxing stay. If I had to mention one small detail, it would be the design of the handbasin in the bathroom; the tap could be a bit taller, as it’s a little awkward to wash your hands without bumping into the basin. Overall, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to others.

It was Perfect! It is huge inside. Very clean. Lots of tea/coffee ect inside with little extras such as biscuits, sweets. Really appreciated. Owner was on call when needed, very polite and helpful.
