Oh my gosh! What an amazing place! We were given a great tour of the venue and told all the history. It's a grand old building, and they've done a wonderful job keeping its original olde worlde charm, without making it too modern. If you want slick/modern amenities, this is not for you. But I must say, the beds were super comfortable, the train station was very close by, but we hardly noticed the sound from the trains, and the museum down the road is well worth a look. Can't leave without mentioning the breakfast. Wow! A hot breakfast is included and it was delicious! Decent coffee too. Wayne and Derek, thank you so much for your hospitality, we will be back! Was there to hike in Blue Mountain and go to Megalong Lot 101 for dinner. Kubba Roonga was a great place to stay. The proprietors are exceedingly friendly and do a great job with providing a wonderfully slightly eccentric place to stay with plenty of room and great accommodations. I will definitely stay there again next time visiting the area.
