The receptionist (who speaks English and German) went way beyond her duty to find us some essentials in town after we messed up our backpack transfer on the Camino. We stayed during a Spanish holiday. Very resourceful person and she saved the day.

There was a kettle, flat screen TV, and good WiFi. The location is very good, a one minute walk into the village. The closest beach is 2 km away, or there is a surf beach about 5 km away. The Pico's de Europa's mountains are directly behind the village, great for fit cyclists or keen walkers.

The staff is unbelievably thoughtful, I had a meeting at 3pm and was having it in the lobby area, they gave me a quiet room to have the meeting in. Gym/fitness room is brand new fully equipped with everything needed for small crossfit workouts as well as cardio and weightlifting (dumbels up to 20kg each), leg press, smith machine and squat rack for squats and bench press.
