The owner is really friendly and very helpful. The room was modern and comfortable with a balcony that overlooked a field making for a quiet night’s sleep. The bathroom is also beautifully updated and while overall on the smaller side, the shower was actually quite big.

I arrived early and they had the room ready at 11 am. There was free coffee and tea at the reception area. It rained all day and when I went out they offered me an umbrella. Nice and kind staff.

I could not have picked a better hotel for my stay in Palas de Rei. The owner Gustavo went out of his way to pick me up in town and drive me to the property. The rooms are cozy, warm and the beds are heavenly after a long day trailing down the Camino. They have a massage chair where I spent at least an hour and a half resting my very tired legs. They also have a beautiful and peaceful living room where you can rest up and read your book. I felt at home thanks to Gustavo and his very kind staff, and would 110% recommend staying at Pazo de Laia!

Despite rain and cold, the property was nice and close enough to town to meet our needs. The restaurant across the street was convenient. It was comfortable and quiet.

Wonderful stay here! Our triple room was on the top floor so we had expansive views, fresh air, and a large balcony to dry our clothes etc. Best accommodation along our 5 days on The Camino.

We stayed in the twin bed room in the building behind the bar. The owner was very nice and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast in the bar was excellent. Could fault nothing with this place and highly recommend.
