Nice and quiet location, nice mountain view. Typical pinewood chalet. They rent to one family at a time only, you have the whole second floor. Very friendly retired couple, who are fond of walking themselves. We were there for two nights, for a short ski. We slept well in very good beds, we enjoyed a good breakfast (self made yoghourt, marmelade and fruit salad, ham prepared by Christian himself who was a butcher) chatting with the owners, and also had dinner there, which was very nice and copious - and I . It's less than 15 drive to ski Gérardmer and 25 to La Bresse-Honecke.

It is on the road down to the centre of Gerardmer and although the road is steep, for mobile people it is easily walkable to the Lake (around 1.5km). The three of us fit very comfortably in the apartment which is very well kitted out. The terrace is big and we were able to enjoy our meals outside. Olivier was a great host and on hand if we needed him.

Also it has all that needed for a long stay - washing machine, fridge, dishwasher, hair dryer etc. A lot of space to store equipment or clothes, 2 toilets, spacious bathroom etc. Nothing to improve! Also, owners let us check out later with no extra fee, we were very appreciated for that.SvetlanaGroup

The location is great, an hour from Chamonix, an hour from Annecy, an hour from Chambery, but you can also go for a lovely hike right from the apartment. We didn't have much interaction with our hosts, but they seemed kind and welcoming.
