The hosts welcomed us to their beautifully renovated home. We stayed in the Family Suite and the adjacent Roseraie, with the three rooms very comfortably accommodating our family of 5 adults. The breakfast was elegantly presented and delicious - there was a different home-made treat each day. The pool was lovely - it was a pity that we weren’t able to use the pool more but there was so much to do in the local area and further afield.

We loved everything. From the incredibly warm welcome of the owners Helene and Joel to the marvelously refurbished and redesigned ancient house. In very corner of the house and garden, you feel the dedication and love of the owners for their projects. We felt taken care of as if we were part of the family. in one word: a memorable experience.

Valerie and Stepahane were perfect hosts, helping us with all of our needs. They have a little piece of heaven with their garden and animals, and they offer breakfast and different food options. The location is excellent for many sites and attractions from the Cadre Noir horse show to chateaus to troglodyte dwellings.

The quality of the accommodation, its location and the helpfulness of the proprietors made for a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Both gites are comfortable and very well equipped. There is a great deal to see and to do in the area at any time of the year though you really need your own transport, either motor or bicycle. Some of the chateaux can be expensive to visit so look out for family tickets and ‘twin’ tickets, for example joint tickets to Angers and Azay le Rideau castles. If you are travelling with a pet the vet’s practice of Dr. Andre Mitteault is recommended.

Our room was exquisite. The people who run the place are so lovely and friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The breakfast was really good - the inclusion of muesli and yoghurt was much appreciated. Location is excellent with free and easy parking across the road along the river, and easy both to drive in and out of town, and to walk to the town centre. Highly recommend this property.
