The village of Ushguli is a very special place, we recommend staying there at least one night. Mshvidoba guest house is in the middle of town, making you feel like part of the place for a little bit. Host speaks little English, but she is very very nice (we loved her) and will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. The kids speak English if needed. The bathroom is shared, but we never had to wait to use it. Room is comfortable. We had dinner there one night. Food was good, but it did not seem enough for two people after a whole day of hiking, so we needed to ask for something else, which they provided with no problem. Host can also provide a ride back to Mestia

Without doubt it was the best food we have encountered during our hike from Mestia to Usghuli. The hosts are really friendly and helpful - although we didn't speak Russian, communication wasn't a problem (in case of need, hostess daughter can speak English). Georgian hospitality at its best! Can only recommend.

Nice family run guesthouse a few minutes walking from the Ushguli church. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The food they serve is outstanding!

Everything was perfect. Our host Irma was wonderful and kind, helped us with everything we needed including offering to do our laundry after our multiday hike, and constantly served us coffee and tea. The food was delicious and the facilities were great. This guesthouse is located in a sweet little isolated field outside the town center, which makes it perfect for chilling and enjoying the great views. I highly recommend staying here!

I was the first visitor after winter and Zamir, Maya and Georgi welcomed me into their home with such warmth and friendliness, I felt at home right away. Despite the language differences, I learnt so much about life and traditions in Svaneti. The food was delicious and plentiful, so many typical dishes and home made wine. And sitting by the warm stove with the family having a chat was a special moment. Highly recommended to stay here a night or two. The corner room has a nice mural and views of towers and mountains.

La amabilidad y atención de los anfitriones a pesar de la barrera de idioma. Al final de la estancia nos obsequiaron con varias cosas. Hicieron por agruparnos y hacer comunidad con otros huéspedes y fue todo un acierto!! Brindamos con chacha! La habitación que nos tocó (la de la esquina) tenía unas vistas de ensueño a las montañas. Volvería a repetir.

Very friendly owner who happens to be an amazing cook! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Also, the (online) communication with her was quick and clear. Nice areas, both inside and outside, to have a drink or a meal. The shower was good and hot. The dog was awesome.
