I was greeted every morning by birdsong on my balcony. My room was spacious and comfortable, and Jennifer, the proprietor, was incredibly helpful. The Mauritian friend I'd planned to visit had a health emergency the day I arrived and my whole visit changed abruptly. I reached out to Jennifer and she graciously helped me re-plan. The staff were very welcoming. Maison D' Hôtes Coignet is closed to supermarkets, restaurants, the bus stop, and metro station. I felt very safe. The breakfast is delicious and prepared for you in the morning. The room was very clean. I had a wonderful night's sleep. From Rose Hill you can catch the bus or train and get to any part of the island.

We arrived in Mauritius early in the morning but our flight out was late at night. So we booked this place to rest and clean up before our upcoming 20+ hours flying home. Our host arranged a pickup at the cruise terminal for us and then a dropoff at the airport (and he escorted us into the airport terminal) in the evening. We felt like we got very personalized service and the accommodations were very comfortable! Plus, everyone involved was very friendly and helpful!

The location is newly built and have high quality finish. 4 rooms allowed enough personal space for every despite being a duplex. (3 rooms with AC) The accommodation was very well furnished with plenty of equipment in the common areas, with good wifi.
