What an absolutely delightful place to call home for a few days! We were looking for a restful spot on a quiet beach after our safari and this was it. The building itself is fascinating….lots of history within, unique and quirky and has everything you need and more. Our rooms were comfy and clean and the balcony in each room overlooking the beach was great. Massi and Miria are the perfect host…there when you need them with answers to all your questions. All staff were so kind and friendly…restaurant staff with whom we interacted the most were the best. The daily breakfast had a perfect selection of continental and hot options. And a juice with fruit and avocado that I wish I could have bottled and brought back home. We ate all three dinners there and they were out of this world (I’m running out of superlatives to describe our stay!). With Massi’s obvious influence they were all traditional Italian. Four amazing courses each night and only $20 USD per person. Worth so much more. I wholeheartedly recommend Zanzibar House as a perfect place to stay for a beach break. Suggest taking the taxi service offered on their site as we chose not to and our cab driver had difficulty locating it. With the help of a kind local on a motorbike however, we did. The property was at an excellent location and Roxana, the host was super flexible and helpful. She advised us on many many things from the airport transfer to arranging tours and restaurants to visit as well. Even though breakfast was the same every day (toast, eggs, fruit salad) it was always substantial and tasty. The beach is very close with lots of places (hotels, restaurants) to visit and even spend the day at. There is a dog and a cat at the property both being extremely friendly as well. We would certainly go back here if we were to visit Zanzibar again!

Isla Bonita is your choice if you’re looking for a relaxing beachfront property far from crowded tourist areas. We felt right at home right from day one. We were welcomed warmly by the owners and services were always rendered with a smile. Loved the food and most of all the beautiful beach which was just a stone throw away. Would definitely visit again!
