Beatifully newly restored historical boutique hotel. Very nice garden. Attentive and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Very central in old town, close to habour. Just wish I had more time there 🙃

It's an amazing house, that has been wonderfully restored and maintained. The garden, in particular, is spectacular. Szilvia has done a brilliant job and is a fantastic host. Highly recommended

I stayed for two days and had an incredible time. A week before my suitcase got lost and I had a lot of help from Nadia, one of the girls working at the reception. Nadia also helped me to find a good tour and to have a better experience in Zanzibar. I am super grateful to her and to Zava House for making my experience beautiful and unforgettable. I have never stayed in a place with such nice people. The place is super well located and the rooms are big, cool and comfortable. I hope to come back soon!

This place is charming, and has a great space to hang out and escape the bustle of Zanzibar on the roof. The breakfast is good and included. The beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets. It is also cheap compared to most other places in Z. It has a hippy, artsy vibe, and is an oasis of peace in a very busy city. David, the manager, is very kind of helpful. I stayed here with my three kids and they loved it.

Location, very close to the Old Slave Market. Easy to reach any point of interest. Very nice and friendly staff. Helpful.

The Ambience, Staff, Cleanliness, location Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make comfort Both Anna and Hamisa were very helpful Breakfast isn't included however the host Nashu provided Bread and eggs and you can make your own tea so it was lovely 😍

Deserves a much higher rating on Booking. Lovely and welcoming staff. The owner is very responsive. Location is right in the heart of Stonetown, so it’s easy to walk everywhere, but still quiet. Large rooms and private bathroom was clean with hot water. Excellent value for money. The owner kindly arranged a very early morning taxi and checked if everything was going well. A very caring man. I would definitely stay here again. Google maps has it in the wrong place, so you need to head for the Hindu temple or Secret Garden.
