The cottage is beautiful
The kitchen was fully equipped and we loved sitting round the island grazing and having a wine
The log burner in the lounge made it really snug
The beds are so comfy and the en suite bathrooms were a wonderful addition
Location wise it’s so close the M6 but right in the heart of a rural village. We were close to the lakes and Carlisle. It was perfect for our visit.
We would definitely return

The location was great very convenient for town about a 10 min walk. Very quiet neighbourhood very spacious property very pleasant.

Beautiful place to stay, our 3 dogs and ourselves thoroughly enjoyed the log burner, peaceful location and beautiful views of 3 horses across the road! We spent most of our time walking and it was lovely to come back to this cosy barn. Thank you for having us.

The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed in a cosy and old-style farm life way. The location, on an active farm and in a lovely part of the district, was quaint and picturesque, and close to long walks in the surrounding hills. Helen, the host, also offered to wash our clothes in her washer and dryer as we had been travelling around for a few weeks, which was very welcomed, and she was very helpful in suggesting places to go and things to see and do. Highly recommend for those who love old fashioned hospitality and cottage life.
