From the moment we arrived, it had a warm and homely feel, making it the perfect place to relax. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was excellent—just a short walk to Maldon’s charming high street, with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants to explore. It was also close to the promenade, where we enjoyed lovely walk along the waterfront and took in the beautiful views. Overall, a lovely place to stay, combining comfort with a great location. We would definitely visit again!

This recently renovated holiday home is located 16 km from Freeport Braintree and 21 km from Audley End House. The property is non-smoking and is located 25 km from Stansted Mountfitchet Station. Gorgeous cottage, wonderful location, host very helpful and went above and beyond to assist in a few special requests.

The lodge is really nicely decorated, very comfortable and clean, with nice bedding and towels and gorgeous little touches like bath salts which was unexpected and much appreciated. The lake view is stunning and the lodge was lovely and warm, even during November. It is an excellent spot for fishing or just a peaceful relaxing stay. The hosts were available and helpful and very welcoming, access was easy and they gave us video instructions to find the lodge as it is one way around most of the site so could be confusing. We can't wait to come back again.
