We really can't say enough good things about this house. Literally located in the centre of Oldcastle, close to everything you want to see in this hidden gem of a town. The house itself is modern, spotless, with everything you need. We cooked our dinner in the brand new kitchen, which has a coffee machine as well. The living room area has a TV with Netflix, YouTube etc, and the most comfortable sofa you can imagine. The bedroom was pure luxury, and the bathroom had products you'd be happy to find in a really good hotel. Basically this house is like a really nice hotel room, except it's a whole house. Can't wait to go back soon. 👏😀

Any questions I had were answered quickly and host was friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more, would definitely return.

Spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Peter was very friendly and helpful. The cows and Patch the dog were delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Connells Barn is everything it looks - a smart conversion from a historic building into a most pleasant base for exploring the Boyne Valley and beyond. The host is wonderful and she has thought of everything - the place comes with a manual, and you are well advised to run trough it upon your arrival - it is very informative. The other pleasantries you can find are just too numerous to count, from a welcome package ont the table, to a filing cabinet filled with assorted destinations and activities. Karla (the host) definitely sets the bar high for other hosts. The location is easy to find. It is near too many interesting sites for the time we had, so a lot is left unexplored, but it just gives us a reason to return.

Connells House Thatched Cottage asub Duleekis, 6,1 km kaugusel Bru na Boinne külastuskeskusest ja 12 km kaugusel Sonairte ökoloogiakeskusest. Kohapeal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja restoran. 10/10 Could not recommend this place more! 😄 Fantastic location, this cottage is just off the main street in duleek, and right beside TRIBE restaurant (best pizza we have ever had). Karla's cottage was spotless, you could have had your dinner off the floor. Spacious for our group of 8 and beds were incredibly comfy! If your looking for a weekend away, this is the perfect choice!

The host was great, she greeted us on arrival and made sure the property was warm. She showed us where everything was and how to work the heating and wood burner. She left us some milk in the fridge and there were the basic items in the cupboard like tea, coffee and sugar.

I loved the whole house it was so spacious and plenty of space for the little kids to get about and not on top of each other. It was bigger than i thought it would. I loved the rooms they all looked decent sizes and no complaints about them. I had the master room that was so big and lovely. I loved the views we had from the house and how you can walk to the farm you have. The kids loved it. The kitchen was perfect you had all the utensils we would ever need, which was great.
