The family is super kind and helpful and the rooms are spacious, cozy and clean. The facilities are great, there is an AC, there is a water dispenser and the breakfast is amazing. The location is also amazing, you are close to the temple, various nice restaurants and across the street is an amazing laundry service.

Loved the well thought out decor of each room and the grounds! The owner was so welcoming and helped plan our one full day in Borobudur! Had no idea we would be offered a floating breakfast in the pool! so great! The deluxe rooms i took a peak in had beautiful bathrobes. When i spoke to the owner turns out he sells them and my friend and i bought two different patterns. I’m in love with mine! They have wonderful soap too which smells like heaven! Such a special place to stay! Bobbi, thank you! a true gem of a property!!!

We had a bungalow which was beautifully and tastefully furnished, very spacious. Nice big pool with some shade from shrubs, we had it almost to ourselves. High quality service and worth the money

Efata Homestay asub Borobuduri templist vaid 5-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel ning pakub puhtaid ja mugavaid tube. Kõikjal on tasuta WiFi-ühendus. The moment we stepped into the compound, the host Ika already waited at the gazebo next to the gate, welcomed us with warm smile and help us with the luggages. The host both Ika and Yani are very friendly yet professional in handling the guest. Children like this homestay environment so much. The host made sure they serve varieties of local delicacies and fruits for breakfast everyday during our stay. The location is very near Borobudur Temple and there are plenty of eateries surrounding the premise. In the evening the premise is quiet and peaceful. The garden juxtaposed with the landscape ambient lighting give a sense of tranquil and we like to sit at the terrace in front of the room while enjoying the green. More than expexted, Ika who own a car also bring us to local pottery villages for children to enjoy some traditional arts and crafts. All in all, I must say that the owner has attention to detail and care that make our stay here feel very much like a home.

Guesthouse 44 was my second home for a week in Purwokerto. The room was not spacious, but it had all necessary appliances and good air conditioning. A double room was just enough for my luggage, so I suggest if you travel with a partner, get a bigger room, the price is really affordable. The bathroom might surprise you, because it has no sink, just a shower, and no mirror, which is somewhat inconvenient. The room was sparkling clean, the bed sheets and the towels smelled amazing, it was regularly cleaned and supplied with bottled water every day. As a foreigner, you might get some special treatment, as the managers are really caring and put in a lot of effort to be of best service. The breakfast is abundant, if you don't like the local style, they'll prepare you some pancakes, omelette and steamed vegetables, so as to make sure you don't go out hungry. It is a good idea to bring some small present for the lady and her husband who run the hotel (they are about 60) - it will make their day. At their place you will surely feel as a part of a big family. Please bear in mind, that although the hotel is near the city center, you cannot walk in Purwokerto, since the streets are bustling with cars and motorcycles and there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. Walking is really dangerous, so better take a taxi. And speaking of taxies, I can recommend this nice young taxi driver in Jakarta, working for the Bluebird company, who speaks perfect English and is a very honest and helpful person: +62 852-1258-2235 (Willy). You may contact him on WhatsApp in advance, and he'll pick you up at the airport, without an extra fee. I had to bargain with many taxi drivers when I arrived in Jakarta in order to get an almost fair price, while this one trusts his meter, so no need to worry. Good luck with your adventure!

We had a wonderful time. The place was lovely and relaxing. The family was super sweet and while they didn't speak much English they made every effort to communicate with us. On arrival we were given drinks and home made snacks including a range of fruit from the garden. Dinner was cooked for us before settling in for the evening. Before sunrise they gave us a bike ride to the lookout point and had breakfast ready with a delicious homemade tea to send us off. We would happily stay again if we were in the area.
