Stunning, rural location overlooking rice fields, lush greenery and Mont Rinjani summit in the distance. The constant hum of crickets and the flittering of hundreds of dragonflies along with the scenery makes for a gorgeous nature retreat away from it all. Nip and Awan, along with their lovely family, were lovely hosts and the homemade food was delicious. Nip and Molls took us in the most amazing trek across paddy fields, down through jungle, across rivers and up to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, as well as showing us and explaining about traditional villages and taking us to an ancient mosque. Nip was really knowledgeable about everything from agriculture, plants, traditions and history and we would highly recommend taking her up on her offering of this opportunity. We will definitely be back if we’re ever in Lombok again. We didn’t do the Mont Rinjani trek this time but you always have to leave something to come back to do, right?! Avocado Homestay is a little gem. It’s still pretty new. The outside area is really nice. Beds are comfy. It has huge potential to be a very special place! Went for a sunset walk with the staff around the village and fields. +the avocados taste yummy. For dinner we went to his uncles place. So support this new homestay and create something beautiful

When we arrived, we were welcomed with fresh coconuts and cashews (a local product). The family and small village were extremely welcoming of us and shared snacks (fried cassava, mangoes, roasted peanuts), and treated us like part of their own family. We have never been so welcomed before at an accommodation. The rooms were very comfortable (we had a room with a fan, which was a very comfortable temperature). They had many activities available including tours to coffee, cashew, and honey farms, interaction with locals in the village, and you could hike up the nearby hill for sunrise and sunset. Unfortunately, I had recently injured my knee and my partner was not feeling great from our previous travel, so we did not do the activities around the village. We were able to share snacks and partake in regular life with the family where we were treated like a family extension which was so welcoming. The food they served for breakfast and dinner was incredible and so much food! The grounds were beautiful with many chickens and plants everywhere. Mamba and others were happy to answer our questions about local life, Indonesia history, and Muslim traditions and religion. Would highly recommend staying at this place if you are interested in a peaceful area in a small village learning about the local life. We wished we could have stayed much longer here. Thank you so much for an incredible experience, and we hope to come back in the future.

I stayed at 5 different Homestay’s in Lombok and this one is by far the most comfortable! Veronica and Joseph are amazing hosts and make you feel at home. Nice bathroom and shower, AC and hot water work perfectly. Highly recommend staying here!
