Staff super welcoming and create a lovely atmosphere, getting people together for sunset swims and lunches out, really nice communal areas and shaded spots with hammocks, lovely affordable food if you can't be bothered to take a short walk to any of the nice cheap spots nearby. Just a great hostel with top people. A reason to come back to Varkala!!!

Great location, close to the beach and to the town. We walked quite a lot in Alleppey - it was easier here than in other places in India. The hosts were brilliant and helped us get train tickets to Kochi early the next morning. And the option to order food to the hostel and receive honest reviews of food places around was really great - everyone needs to go to Namaste Tiffin! The room was also gorgeous, one of the most palatial we experienced in India!

You can get out of bed and jump straight into the backwaters. The sunrise boat tour through the mangroves is a must (& really good value). Loved the Keralan breakfast in the morning, and appreciated being able to use the kitchen to cook my own food after travelling for ages! Attracts a great backpacker crowd and is super social in a chill way. Rooms are simple but clean and the outdoor common areas are perfect - hammocks galore. Thanks for a great stay 🌊🌴🌞

The hostel was very clean, everything was new and worked well. It was nicely furnished. There was warm water in shower. Lot of space in the room and common area. The common area seemed good for socializing. There wasn't a kitchen but a place to eat your own food and wash your dishes. Air conditioning worked well in the room. There was a television in the common area from which you could probably watch movies. There was nice music in common area. The place was peaceful. I could leave my luggages in the hostel for few hours after checking out. There was a small cafe from where you could buy drinks like coffee, juices and maybe some cutted fruits.

I had the perfect stay at crossroads, amazing vibe and the setting was perfect. Can easily hire a bike if u want to explore Wayanad or sit back a relax, really felt like i was home. I could of easily stayed for weeks even after extending my stay. Hospitality was so nice and the food served by the chef was amazing with huge portions and with little cost. Oh and theres a dog that will follow u around if u feed him biscuits 😃 see u soon guys!
