Located in Ukiha and with Kanzeon-ji Temple reachable within 33 km, Hostel&Cafe Farolito provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. A rustic B&B, intertwined with heritage structure and modernized amenities, in which I found my comfort from bed, room space to communal facilities. Everything was kept super duper clean. Impressive! The humble couple running the place have the drive to chat with whoever comes to their cosy restaurant. I especially loved to have sake toasts at night listening to the foreign language chats. And the food there, though fusion, is a must-try. The pretty lady owner preparing the food has a knack for what really melts tastfully in mouth!

The staff were amazing, really friendly, and personable. Everything else was good but the staff were exceptional. The hostel was very clean, and the building is pretty neat looking as well. The location was within walking distance of a station and a few notable destinations. No dryer on site, just clothesline. However, there was a laundromat 2 blocks away, so that wasn't an issue. I'd recommend this location to anyone staying in Fukuoka. Great value for the cost.
