Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty.
Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty. This trip we didn't venture beyond town having done sightseeing drives before. We enjoyed our strolls beside the river from the central area on well marked walking tours. The restaurants we visited to purchase meals to take away to sit by the river were served by polite, cheerful and personable staff on each occasion, and were beautiful.

Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo.
Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo. Some nice but expensive restaurants. The bright pub brewery is going downhill, a few years ago it was far better, the food now is terrible and the beer is uninteresting. Very sad. Third visit to bright but I guess we won’t return soon.

Bright is a wonderful town.
Bright is a wonderful town.
There are many activities and sites for people to do and visit.
I recommend booking a bike if you want to tour the surrounding areas. Otherwise, there are fantastic walking tracks around the town.
The town is beautiful in summer and more so in Autumn, when most of the leaves have turned golden brown or red.

The prettiest town we have seen.
The prettiest town we have seen. The Autumn trees are stunning as were the beautiful tree lined streets. The river has so much history with gold mining and caters for all in terms of fishing, cycling, walking and swimming. A village like atmosphere that offers great restaurants and is central to other tourist sites in the area such as Mt Beauty, Myrtleford, Beechworth and Falls Creek.

Beautiful riverside town.
Beautiful riverside town. Popular with holiday makers enjoying the river when hot. Lovely walks along the river. Plenty of options for food and drink in the lovely tree lined town. A good start to hire bikes for the rail trail.
It was walking distance to town and to the river walk and was cosy when the heating was on as it was a very cold wet weekend. The managers were very obliging and moved two beds together so two single elderly ladies could each have a queen bed and were very friendly and immediately exchanged the items that did not work.
Washing machine and dryer were very efficient and there was plenty of hot water.
The autumn trees in the garden were beautiful colors as were trees in Beechworth and Bright.
The High Country did an excellent job as the town of Bright on our arrival was completely out of power.
The staff were more than happy to help with anything and made you aware that the power would be back by 5:30pm - which it was.
We totally appreciated that our beloved Frenchie was able to come and stay with us, which we found very pet friendly.
Great bbq and again staff more than happy to assist with anything we may have needed.
The bed was so comfortable. I had the best sleep I've ever experienced ! My husband and I plan to order the same mattress and pillows.
The room was spotless and the lounge area in the room with couch and table was appreciated.
I haven't stayed in a motel for years ... I usually stay in hotels, but during these covid times, a self contained motel room with its own cooling and heating system feels much safer.
Great location. Short walk to the Bright Town. Lovely backyard with the Ovens river flowing and can be seen from the house. Very clean inside and out. All required amenities provided and are clean, neat and tidy. Good wi-fi and Smart TVs, books and games etc. Well functioning jacuzzi in the Master Suite. A rare occasion where the actual property looked better than the published photos!
The property is very reasonably priced. The cabins facing the play park are best for kids as they are easily accessible and one can watch over the kids from the cabins comfort. The staff was very friendly. It's 20-25 mins bike ride from Bright and we always loved the ride as family. The kitchen has most of the utensils available for one to cook a hot meal.
The Rooms and large and spacious, being an older motel. The decor is very 70's, with bright blue carpet and yellow walls, though the rooms were very clean. Overall, the space and rooms were perfect for our family and dog. Given that the motel is pet friendly, I was impressed that there was no smells and how well maintained it was.
Probably the best location in Bright, walking distance to everything. The freshly renovated room was also great (extremely comfy bed) And great facilities.
No contact check in and check out works a treat but this way we didn’t have the chance to meet the staff and left the whole experience feeling a bit impersonal
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Artee House. It was warm, clean, had a beautiful view over the mountains and trees, and was filled with all that we needed for an Autumn getaway for four old school friends. The amenities and appliances were excellent. The beds were comfy and the location was fairly quiet.
The cabins are clean and spacious, had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
The location was very close and walking distance to the river and splash park in Bright.
The gardens were immaculate, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Due to covid serving breakfast was canceled. But I received home-prepared sweets and cakes everyday instead. My car had issues too as always in holidays. The hotel owner was very helpful of solution offerings.
Hotel staff great, did everything to help us. Loved the centre room with cooking facilities. One of the comfiest beds I’ve had at a hotel for a long time.
Location across bridge to central Bright, beautiful walking tracks, spotless clean cabin, friendly staff, fire pits along river for enjoying as sunsets.
The location of property within Bright was terrific, easy walk to all facilities, restaurants and the river. The room was okay, the bed was very comfy.
