The cottage was unbelievably comfortable and had everything you need. Beautiful little touches too!
location couldn’t be better and it was quiet and private.
Renovated in late 2017 and just a 5-minute walk from the shops, restaurants and cafes of Bright, this motel offers an outdoor solar heated pool surrounded by lovely established gardens.

Could not fault the room. It was clean and modern, the heating was good and also lovely courtyard area.
Located on the banks of the beautiful Ovens River, guests at Merrimeet Cottages enjoy lovely views from private patios. Bright town center is less than 5 minutes’ drive away.
Riverbend Homestead is a secluded holiday home, surrounded by a working farm and set n the wilderness of the Victorian High Country, 5 minutes' drive from the town of Bright.
Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo. Some nice but expensive restaurants. The bright pub brewery is going downhill, a few years ago it was far better, the food now is terrible and the beer is uninteresting. Very sad. Third visit to bright but I guess we won’t return soon.

Bright is a wonderful town.
Bright is a wonderful town.
There are many activities and sites for people to do and visit.
I recommend booking a bike if you want to tour the surrounding areas. Otherwise, there are fantastic walking tracks around the town.
The town is beautiful in summer and more so in Autumn, when most of the leaves have turned golden brown or red.

Cute town which provides access to the ski slopes and Victorian High Country. It's easy to get to and once there you are spoilt for choice with bike trails, hiking or even leisurely strolls. There are tons of cafes, bakeries and restaurants, catering for all dietaries and cuisines.

The prettiest town we have seen.
The prettiest town we have seen. The Autumn trees are stunning as were the beautiful tree lined streets. The river has so much history with gold mining and caters for all in terms of fishing, cycling, walking and swimming. A village like atmosphere that offers great restaurants and is central to other tourist sites in the area such as Mt Beauty, Myrtleford, Beechworth and Falls Creek.

We arrived as the power blackout occurred in eastern Victoria so didn't get a chance to use our 4-day booking. The management however was very good and refunded our booking without question as we had to leave due to uncertainty of the return of power to the area.
It was walking distance to town and to the river walk and was cosy when the heating was on as it was a very cold wet weekend. The managers were very obliging and moved two beds together so two single elderly ladies could each have a queen bed and were very friendly and immediately exchanged the items that did not work.
Washing machine and dryer were very efficient and there was plenty of hot water.
The autumn trees in the garden were beautiful colors as were trees in Beechworth and Bright.
Excellent location, right in the city centre and easy access to food. Rooms were newly renovated and very clean and bright. Bathroom new and had heating as well as good water pressure in the shower. Comfortable beds. Effective heating.
Close to a few great locations for food including Gumtree Pies and Sole e Luna. Easy access to Barnard street where you can have breakfast at Coral Lee.
The views are spectacular, the gardens were lovely, the house was clean and comfortable with a great big bath to relax in and the small touches of hospitality such as the welcome hamper made it special.
Close enough to Bright main town but far enough for privacy and quietness.
Also LOVED how it was pet friendly as we were travelling with our beloved pooch.
Probably the best location in Bright, walking distance to everything. The freshly renovated room was also great (extremely comfy bed) And great facilities.
No contact check in and check out works a treat but this way we didn’t have the chance to meet the staff and left the whole experience feeling a bit impersonal
Central Bright location - you can walk absolutely anywhere. Rooms have been updated and quite spacious for basic motel rooms.
Perfect place to stay after time at Falls Creek. Probably wouldn't stay here a week but great stopover spot. Can eat in the pub and play some pool or sit in front of the open fire.
The location was decent - we were able to walk into the centre of town (some people might think it was a bit far, but 20 min walk for the price was ok for us). The room was fully prepared for cold weather - extra blankets, space heaters, etc. There was a great amount of space in the family suit.
I had been allocated room number #1 which provided you a very large bathroom and seating area as well. The room was stylish, very clean and comfortable. The furnishing and design of the room felt luxurious, and the hotel is located in an amazing location near all the restaurants and shops.
The location is superb. Close enough to walk to the shops en restaurants in bright yet far enough to escape the holiday crowds. The gardens surrounding the property are simply beautiful. The hosts are super friendly.
Always stay here when travelling through Bright. Clean rooms and very central to everything in town. Friendly staff had the aircon on for us so the room was cool when we arrived. Motorcycle friendly accommodation !
We enjoyed our stay at the Abalina Cottage . Very cosy and comfortable for our family of five. Great base for day trip to Falls Creek and the explore Bright and surrounds. Highly recommended !
This property is immaculate! Everything you could need for the perfect Bright holiday. I won’t stay anywhere else now. Can thoroughly recommend this house & the owners treat you like family.
It was close to the central commercial center of Bright. We used our bikes to travel and it was a great holiday experience. Property is nice and quite the rooms are well maintained.
Bright is a great place & base for this region of Victoria . So much to see in a variety of day trips . Would recommend to stay at least 3 nights ; more if time permits .
