If rolling plains, wide open spaces, peace and tranquility are what you are looking for then Bucca Homestead is the place to stay. Bucca Homestead is a 200 acre working farm backed onto our very own private waterhole on the Kolan River. Our stay offers a relaxed country vibe with a stunning view and a base to access and explore the Bundaberg region and the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Farm fresh eggs and milk is provided on arrival alongside seasonal fruit from our orchard. Food hampers can be provided on request. The villa is made predominantly from repurposed materials and timber finishes to give a rustic yesteryear; alongside your modern amenities for comfort. Located 4km from the iconic Bucca Hotel Pub for any food/ beverage needs. Bucca Homestead is a 20 min from Bundaberg CBD, 4 hours drive from Brisbane or a short 45 min daily flight.
Hi, my name is Mel and I am so excited to be sharing with you our little slice of paradise. Many generations of my family have grown up on the land and it is my pleasure to offer a part of our lifestyle with you. Sometimes we have taken for granted the rewards of producing our own food and living with the land but I get great reward in sharing insight into our way of life.
Bucca Homestead is a little over an hour to Agnes Waters with great surfing beaches and the renowned LARC (amphibious boat) tour. Hervey Bay is iconic for its whale watching and sea life. Bundaberg offers the world famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery with tours demonstrating how the rum is made to taste testing and even designing your own rum. Mon Repos turtle encounters is another special experience. Get up and close with turtles laying their eggs and hatching from their nests. Definitely a bucket list experience.
