Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty.
Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty. This trip we didn't venture beyond town having done sightseeing drives before. We enjoyed our strolls beside the river from the central area on well marked walking tours. The restaurants we visited to purchase meals to take away to sit by the river were served by polite, cheerful and personable staff on each occasion, and were beautiful.

Bright is absolutely stunning especially in the autumn.
Bright is absolutely stunning especially in the autumn. The main streets were an easy walk from where I stayed at lovely Bright Deluxe. The cafes and restaurants had delicious menus and the staff were so friendly. My objective was to walk the great trails and relax and I definitely achieved it. Beautiful Bright is truly my happy place so see you again very soon…😊

Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo.
Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo. Some nice but expensive restaurants. The bright pub brewery is going downhill, a few years ago it was far better, the food now is terrible and the beer is uninteresting. Very sad. Third visit to bright but I guess we won’t return soon.

Bright is a wonderful town.
Bright is a wonderful town.
There are many activities and sites for people to do and visit.
I recommend booking a bike if you want to tour the surrounding areas. Otherwise, there are fantastic walking tracks around the town.
The town is beautiful in summer and more so in Autumn, when most of the leaves have turned golden brown or red.

The prettiest town we have seen.
The prettiest town we have seen. The Autumn trees are stunning as were the beautiful tree lined streets. The river has so much history with gold mining and caters for all in terms of fishing, cycling, walking and swimming. A village like atmosphere that offers great restaurants and is central to other tourist sites in the area such as Mt Beauty, Myrtleford, Beechworth and Falls Creek.
Everything was absolutely spot on. Accommodation outstanding, very clean, comfortable bed, plenty of room in living area.
Gardens were beautiful - just a delightful setting in which to be staying. Hosts Alistair and Kellie were very welcoming on our arrival. A very relaxing 3 nights to recharge the batteries after a long Covid lockdown
Great walk into town along the river bank - easy walking and very picturesque.
We have already booked our next stay! Loved Bright and Merrimeet made it just that much better.
Great location. Short walk to the Bright Town. Lovely backyard with the Ovens river flowing and can be seen from the house. Very clean inside and out. All required amenities provided and are clean, neat and tidy. Good wi-fi and Smart TVs, books and games etc. Well functioning jacuzzi in the Master Suite. A rare occasion where the actual property looked better than the published photos!
This is a modern and extremely comfortable place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The facilities are all new and wonderfully appointed. The TV in the room could connect to Netflix, which was a nice perk. The hotel staff are extremely accommodating and welcoming. The location is perfect - it is a very short walk to the heart of the magical town of Bright. Will be back.
The location is brilliant!
You can't get much better than a hotel that's walking distance to everything. Woolies is across the road, servo station on the corner, pub downstairs, cafe across the road.
All the beautiful stores are around the corner and in walking distance. Fantastic restaurants at your doorstep.
Clean, modern rooms and comfortable beds.
great location and quality sofa, mini kitchen which is convenient. Bright gate is easy to find motel and lower the risk to pass. Hot water is quick after turning on. So you do not have to wash with cold water for a while if you are the first person rush into shower room. It is a good point if you return from a mountain top or ski resort.
Great new apartment with all the mod cons. Perfect for family or two couples sharing. Easy walking distance to centre of Bright - shopping, cafes, hotels. Great communication from the host. Loved the coffee machine. We'll definitely be back. Thanks Robina.
Bright Riverside Holiday Park was in the perfect location, right on the creek that runs through town and with easy access to restaurants etc across two bridges. It was clean and peaceful and we particularly loved the revamped 60s vibe of our cabin.
It was a lovely, tidy 2 bed unit that was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The backyard was on the Ovens river, and it was only a short stroll into the main street of Bright. Lovely stay for our family of 4.
Such a lovely little hotel. Have been coming to Bright for years and this was our first time staying here. Rigjt in the heart of town. Walkng distance to everything.
Bed was very comfortable loved having a couch in our room
Bright.. the town and area superb.
Riverside Holiday Park, 5 min walk into town and next to the river and walks. Rented a superior chalet... nice inside but nowhere to relax in shade/ sun... not a superior position.
Genuinely lovely hotel in a great little town. Staff ensured self check-in was smooth and hassle-free. Really obvious that the hotel is a labour of love, a really nicely decorated place and immaculately clean too.
Wombat's Retreat is superb all-round. Great little apartment, warm and cozy, great location - close to the main drag but still quiet and relaxing. And Bright is one of the best spots in Vic.
an old fashioned but comfortable room on the edge of town. Easy access to the river walk behind the Motel. Everything worked as expected. Good to have both a quilt and blanket.
Peaceful and serene environment. Quality linen and household appliances. Ros and Brendan were most helpful hosts. A very comfortable stay and memorable time in Bright!
Peaceful with pleasant gardens. Excellent, spacious, comfortable, well appointed accommodation which suited us very well for a break from visiting family.
