• Fully detached house on a elevated piece of land. Livable surface area of the residence: 130 m2. Large grounds, property area is half a hectare or one acre - 4800 m2. The interior of the house is neat and comfortable. • Comprising of 4 bedrooms (two upstairs, two downstairs) decorated with charm and character, we can accommodate up to 8 persons in our rural abode. • Two bathrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) consist of a shower bath and a walk-in shower. Hairdryer and heated towel racks included. • Fully equipped kitchen includes oven, refrigerator/freezer, dish washer and washing machine. Also included is a microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee-machine. Ample cutlery for 8 is located in the drawers. • Inside dining seats 8 connected to the living area complete with an open fireplace (plenty of firewood located on property). • Outside area includes dining table with magnificent views of the Haut-Var, gas barbecue with utensils, outdoor swimming pool on limestone deck fitted with pool furniture, pool is cleaned weekly and kept warmed with themo blanket. • Terraced landscape with fruit trees, basketball hoop fitted to side of house.
We are an Australian family that purchased this property in December 2014. Our family shares a love of the French Provincial lifestyle and we hope our guests do too! Close to the property is the waterfall of Sillans, a 15 minute walk to the belvedere (viewing platform) and 20 minutes to the micro-climate of the river, perfect for an afternoon hike, swim and picnic. Close by is the Gorges du Verdon and the Lac du St Croix, an idyllic location for pedal-boats, fishing and enjoying the unique landscape. We love going to local markets and checking out the flea markets, car-boot sales and antique and brocante fairs. Wineries, gourmet choclatiers and cheese tasting venues and located close within the area too for all of the foodies. The beaches of the Riviera are ~60kms away as well as the closest ski-lifts being around ~90kms so perfectly accessible for day trips. The historic centre of Aix en Provence and Marseille are between 60-90kms away so the house is centrally located in the Var. Museums are located in Draguignan less than 30 minutes from the property. This house is ideal for families looking to escape from it all as well as adventurers who prefer being in the midst of the Var!
• You will enjoy lazing around in the private pool, savouring the surroundings or discovering the true Provence by experiencing the sights and smells that delight the senses at one of the eclectic local markets. • By night, unwind and enjoy an evening meal on the summer terrace with a view of the undulating Haut-Var landscape, or eat locally in one of the many restaurants with some of the finest cuisine the world has to offer. • Nearby the Villa, you will discover charming Provençal villages, olive trees, wildflowers, lavender fields, vineyards, rivers, lakes and hills with open views of picturesque panoramas. Le magnifique! • Magnificent view of the hills from the grounds. The landscape in this region is woody and hilly. The house is situated nice and central for exploring the region. An idyllic area with lots of characteristic villages. It is a region that has a lot to offer, both in terms of culture and nature. • Within 15 kms of the Villa, beautiful villages such as Salernes, Aups, Villecroze, Lorgues and Le Thoronet.
