High Wood Foot is a cottage consisting of a kitchen/diner with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, and kettle, and dining for eight guests, a sitting room with woodburning stove and Smart TV, mounted TV,and a game room with multi-use table with table tennis, air hockey, and a bar area. The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size with en-suite shower, king-size, double, and triple serviced by a bathroom and a cloakroom. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a garden with a hot tub and off-road parking for two cars. One well-behaved dog is allowed. Askham is a small rural Nottinghamshire village just off the A57 and close to the A1. The village has a pub. Sherwood Forest is just 11 miles away, with the Robin Hood visitors centre providing wonderful woodland walks including to the renowned Major Oak tree, with picnic areas also available. The National Trust's Clumber Park has 3,800 acres of spectacular scenery where you can walk or cycle, gardens, and a lake with 200 species of birds. The Wetlands Waterfowl Reserve is seven miles away with 32 acres of fishing lakes and woodland, along with an exotic birds sanctuary and animals.
