Property information

The cottage is just a short walk from Ambleside having parking for one car, it is perfect for smaller families or couples. Horseshoe Cottage has two bedrooms, a double, twin and a newly fitted bathroom. Downstairs is a large comfortable living area perfect for planning the next day’s walk. There are gardens with seating to the front that is open. There is also seating to the rear in a private yard.

FAIRY TALE COTTAGE AT THE FOOT OF THE HORSESHOE Horseshoe Cottage is oozing in character and is everything you would expect from a Lakeland Cottage. Beautiful cottage garden at the foot of many Lakeland walks, and round the corner from Rydal Mount, the home of William Wordsworth, which is open to the public. You can leave your car outside and walk the fells straight from the door. Head up towards The Fairfield Horseshoe, The coffin route or have a gentle walk to Rydal water and Caves. The Badger Bar is just around the corner serving food and local ale with a cosy log fire for getting a rest after exploring Rydal water and caves, and Nabb Scar and beyond to the Fairfield Horseshoe.
