Both Cottages in the Sundown Cottages portfolio (Sundown Cottage - 3 bedrooms & Taigh Chalum - 2 bedrooms) are in a very special location in the middle of the Isle of Lewis. Achmore Village, 15 minutes from Stornoway and central to all main locations. There are 2 cottages located here side by side, each one with it's own special charm.
Sundown Cottage: 3 Bedroom Cottage - larger of the two cottages, with each bedroom having it's own en-suite facilities.
This cottage has a wonderful vista from each window and a wood burning stove, with a separate exterior patio area to enjoy the view.
Taigh Chalum: 2 Bedroom Cottage, with it's own special charm and also en-suite facilities in each of the 2 bedrooms.
This property has french doors onto a small balcony along with wood burning stove.

I expect a fantastic all round hospitality experience when I stay at either a hotel, guest house or self catering property and want to reciprocate this hospitality to my guests.
I enjoy meeting people and telling them about the Island .. and how best they can spend their time on the Island and where to visit, recommending places of interest and where to buy local produce to eat in or to dine out.
There are so many local attractions of interest. From the vast Atlantic coast with amazing white, fine sand beaches suitable for bathing or waters-ports to the moorland expanses throughout the Island.
Visits to Uig, Bernera, Harris, Ness and all over the Island are a must. A Sea trip arranged locally to visit St Kilda or a shorter trip perhaps.? Maybe Lews Castle which has recently undergone a massive refurbishment!
so much wildlife around the Islands to be viewed including Eagles and many other unusual bird and animal life including deer.
A stroll along the 'Pentand Road' is a must .. passing old sheilings and enjoying the fabulous vast moorland and quiet, emptiness.
A trip to Harris also a must and a souvenir bottle of Harris Gin - perhaps. Lcoals produce is quite abundant and incredible and many artizan producers to choose from! I will gladly advise on whatever information you might need.
Isle of Lewis sunsets are a must and not to be missed and you may in the Winter season be lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights from outside Sundown!!
Winter (Nov) 2023 brings the addition of a wood fired hot tub to the larger 3 bed cottage, Sundown.
