The Burrow – Characterful Cottage in Chideock, Bridport, Dorset
The Burrow is a beautiful, thatched, stone-built self catering cottage, situated in Chideock near Bridport, in West Dorset. Sleeping 4/5 the cottage is situated perfectly to enjoy all the attractions that the Jurassic Coast has to offer. The beach is only a 15 minute walk away or 2 minutes in the car. We have private off road parking for 6 cars.
Set across 3 floors, the cottage comprises of 1 master bedroom, 1 double room and a single Nook. The Nook is very small with a single bed. There are 2 bathrooms, a fitted kitchen, living/dining space with feature fireplace and a separate reading area. The Burrow was tastefully renovated 3 years ago. The building is over 400 years old, so has plenty of nooks and crannies.
There is also a garden with a BBQ area and raised lawn.
The Burrow has all the facilities required to enjoy a relaxing holiday in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Please look through our photos to full appreciate the unique character of this wonderful cottage.
We have been running our 3 cottages The Burrow, Chiddy Nook and Gingerbread Cottage for the last 11 years. We pride ourselves on having so many returning guests. We were previously Bed & Breakfast owners.
With the beach so close you can enjoy fossil hunting on the fabulous Jurassic Coast. By the beach, set up on the cliff is The Anchor pub offering fabulous homemade food and local ales. The village has a small shop and post office and the lovely 'George Inn', these are only a 5 minute walk from the cottage.
We are centrally placed to visit places, such as, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, West Bay, Eype.
Weymouth and Abbotsbury are only a 35 minute drive along the stunning coast road.
You can leave the car in the car park and take the X53 bus all along the coast road. This is particulary handy if you are walking the South West Coast Path. This bus stop is right outside the cottage!
