This former 15th-century coaching inn offers en-suite accommodation with limited parking for small cars on site.

The location of the property was perfect, close to the Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace. The room was large with a comfortable bed, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Great dinner in the pub, and cooked breakfast was lovely.

The Oakhill Inn has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Shepton Mallet. Built in 19th century, this 4-star inn is within 25 km of Bath Spa Train Station and 25 km of The Roman Baths.

The location was a great base to explore Somerset from. Beautiful village and surrounding countryside. My dog was very welcomed and she loved the fuss she was given. The breakfasts were first class and very tasty. We only ate there once in the evening but again it was an excellent meal.

Built in the 1400s, The George & Pilgrim is the oldest purpose-built pub in the South West of England. Situated in Glastonbury, it is steeped in history and old tales.

- Lovely breakfast - Funny, friendly and helpful staff - we got a heavy luggage and a member of staff offered help to move it to top floor, that’s amazing! - Great facilities, esp the bathroom tub

This was a last minute stay. I was pleasantly welcomed by the owners on arrival, we instantly broke into conversation and the rest was just a pleasure. As a lone traveller I would recommend this very warm, friendly and historic Inn for any traveller who is looking for wholesome food. With a great menu selection. This gem of a Place is well worth a visit. I travel a lot around the country and so far this really hit the mark, I was very happy all round.

Really lovely 600 year old building right next to the cathedral. We were in a room overlooking the street but surprisingly it was silent at night. We had breakfast with a view of the cathedral and the member of staff couldn't have been more helpful especially with my gluten free requirements. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but clearly the restaurant was very popular as it looked full on a Thursday evening. There are several old historic inns in the town but the Ancient Gatehouse was special.
