Set in Dearham, 26 km from Buttermere, The Old Mill Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Very clean and spacious, attractive room, huge comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, big TV, spacious bathroom, large shower cubicle and great towels, first meal in the restaurant was delicious (beef bourguignon), good local ale at a reasonable price, breakfast was mixed but full English was very good. Dark haired lady on duty on our first night was lovely, friendly and very professional (apologies for not having a name). Contact via the app was good and the code access worked well. We enjoyed our stay.

Located in Bowland Bridge, 10 km from World of Beatrix Potter, The Hare & Hounds Inn provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, very cosy place to spend a rainy evening. Really excellent food at the restaurant and the breakfast was amazing! We stopped for one night to break up the drive from Scotland and I wish we could have stayed longer, will definitely be back.

Lovely rooms and great facilities. Would recommend a visit to the brown cow for a meal, very friendly staff and food was amazing.

Built around 1590 as a miner's cottage known as 'Dove Cottage', The Langstrath Country Inn is a small family-run property offering accommodation in Stonethwaite. Parking is available. Amazing location, very friendly staff and super food. With many just having a drink after walking the fells, we felt quite privileged to be staying here

Located in Barrow-in-Furness, Ormsgill Inn features free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site bar, as well as the pool table and darts board. Staff were lovely and very attentive, always asking if everything was OK. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was very comfy. Even went above and beyond to change our room as couldn't manage the stairs. Situated in Levens, 18 km from World of Beatrix Potter, The Hare and Hounds, Levens features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The guidebook in the room was very helpful and provided information about things to do in the Lake District area, by foot or car. I took a 45 minute walk around the nearby farm and enjoyed quiet, scenic views. The unit we stayed in consisted of a large living room, full kitchen, bedroom, and bath with shower and tub. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both meals were scrumptious. There was a great vibe at dinner and it was clear that this is not just a spot for guests, but also popular with the locals. Parking was available just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Three Shires Inn is a family-run inn set in Little Langdale, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Perfect location. Small but lovely room with everything we needed, comfy bed, nice bathroom etc. Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Friendly service. We will come again.

This hotel is situated in the centre of the village of Bowness-on-Windermere, just 2 minutes’ walk from the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. The room is a bit cramped but the facilities were perfect and we had a great two days there. It was very close to the boat pier and easy to eat.

This traditional 17th-century Cumbrian inn is set in the Eden Valley, between the old market towns of Appleby and Penrith. Our host made us feel welcome. Our room was warm and cosy. The food freshly prepared and delicious. Surrounding countryside stunning and easy access to Lakes.
