Wonderfully preserved town.
Wonderfully preserved town. We stayed the night at a lodging inside the walls, and the place is magical at night and early before tourists come. Restaurants are fun and elegant or casual, and the chocolate shops are a must-try. The marshmallow chocolate eggs are incredible. The local cafe was a few steps away and we enjoyed a coffee there every morning. The kitchen was good for cooking & there was a nice spot to eat outside on a nice day. The best part are the owners, Roger and Nazare. They are the very best example of what you hear about the kindness, and giving spirit of the Portuguese people. The apartment is very clean and modern, with everything you may need. Comfortable bed, very quiet area, perfect place to stay for a day or two while visiting Obidos or nearby locations.
