Breakfast was excellent. good variety and quality for the size of the hotel. Room was nice with the small balcony. Front courtyard small, but very cosy.
Private parking at the hotel is possible on site (pending on availability of the day) and has a daily cost of 15€.

Great location
Room was comfortable, modern, with touches of the original charm, such as the window shutters.

Amazing but get there as soon as it opens as the queue is long to get in as I think they limit the number of people inside at any one time - or slow at processing entries. Be there 15 mins before opening.

i cabbed up, and walked down.
i cabbed up, and walked down. Lovely castle, i did the online (on my phone) audio guide as the english guide never showed up. Not sure what to say about that. The security literally would not go get help. Not enough workers around to help, but i figured it out.
Peacocks are up there, so beautiful to see.
The walk down is very charming and has plenty of shops and restaurants to eat or get a coffee. Highly recommend.

Buy your tickets online before you arrive, and go early - it's a hike up and it can get toasty walking. You will want to walk around all the ramparts, which means climbing steep, old stone stairs, more fun when it's not too hot.

The day we went to the castle we were disappointed and that afternoon meeting locals two different locals told us not to waste our money going inside this castle. We would agree - go to Sintra instead!!!

This is a lovely spot with a fantastic view.
This is a lovely spot with a fantastic view. The ruins are not particularly well preserved. There is little signage so you will need the audio tour if you want to know more. There are a lot of high spots and little staffing so use your best judgement, especially if you have kids.

The castle has absolutely stunning views of the city.
The castle has absolutely stunning views of the city. Most visitors take the 28 tram up the hill because it’s such a scenic route. It also comes with extremely long lines and wait times. Tram 12 goes a different route but to the same stop as tram 28. It’s the same tram stop as the 28. I was able to bypass about 100 people and not only get on right away, but also got a window seat. I went at opening time. No line, but when I was leaving 90 minutes later there were huge lines
