If you are into high end shopping then this is where you want to be with the likes of Louis Vutton and many others. But if you are visiting Chicago on a smaller budget, then Michigan Avenue makes for beautiful window shopping and people watching. Grab a Starbucks coffee, find a spot to sit and watch the world go by.

I appreciated the microwave and mini-fridge which allowed me to buy some things for breakfast the night before at the 7-Eleven. The Chicago River view from my room on the 20th floor was amazing. It was also an excellent location to take an architecture cruise in the morning. All four boat companies were within two blocks on all sides of the Michigan Avenue bridge.

The rooms are well designed, if small; the beds are especially comfortable. The redesign (from "Julian" days) was minimal, and several staff have been retained. The price, given the location, is very good.
