Overlooking the Glass House Mountains, this lodge offers accommodation with private patios and garden or mountain views. It features barbecue facilities and a charming lounge housed in a train carriage.

I loved the tranquility of this location. Bird song and other wildlife noises. A huge effort has gone into lovingly restoring the train carriages and I loved the ethos of this wonderful place.

The location, the room was nice close to town for being a lodge in a national park, host was friendly and gave clear directions on where everything was.

The idea of the ecolodge was definitely a great idea, way before it’s ‘time’. The host is very friendly and informative and has obviously done a lot of work and put a lot of thought into what he has created. There is a separate train carriage themed eating area/kitchen, which we didn’t use but looked well equipped. There are lots of fruit trees around as well as lots of interesting signs and displays.

Being able to stay in a train carriage makes it very unique! If you’d like to know more, Keith who runs the eco lodge is an enthusiast. We didn’t have much spare time but enjoyed using what little we had discussing trains with him.
