Warm and cozy house, nice design, Patrick & Joe have good taste at furnitures. We actually arrive late and miss the sunset at night, however when we wake up in the morning and open the door, omg worth it! Breathtaking sea view with bird song, also the SPA pool with just perfect water temperature, what a morning!

We stayed in Te Nikau Lodge which was attractive and comfortable, catering for six people in three upstairs bedrooms. The shared facilities were super roomy (massive kitchen) - and shared with some lovely people who didn't mind too much having a little one running around. We stayed in the lodge portion which is similar to backpacker style with shared facilities. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Good place to base yourself either before or after the Paparoa track.

I also had the lodge to myself so I had a big lounge and kitchen. Huge, spacious shower with great water pressure. It is set among the trees and you do have that retreat feel as you walk down little paths in the trees to get to your accommodation. Quiet setting. Good value. Was clean and seemed safe. Good free wifi.
