I loved how cozy and comfortable this Ryokan was. Everything is well-maintained and clean. We visited during winter because we really wanted to try skiing. The owners helped us find our way around, from where to rent gears and equipment to suitable skiing spots for beginners. They also picked us up at the Happo Terminal Bus Station for free, and contacting them was not an issue because they ensured they would be on time. I would also like to mention the mini library section. Although we can't read in Japanese, we enjoyed it and were able to find our favorite Japanese anime comics. Additionally, we opted for breakfast, and it was really delicious and healthy! Every day, they served us with a different set of meals.

Pension Ringo-no Ki is a completely non-smoking property located in Hakuba. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. There is a hairdryer, free toiletries and slippers on site. The staff here were without a doubt the most fantastic hosts I have ever had. They enthusiastically catered to our every need and anticipated any problems we might have had well ahead of time. I can’t say enough good things.

A 5-minute drive from Hakuba Happoone Ski Resort, Pension Belnia offers cosy accommodations and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. At first it was overwhelming to pick a hotel because everywhere seemed good and we didn’t know the area. So we chose Belnina and so, so glad we did. Belnina was a perfect place to stay in Echoland. As others said, Taka was an exceptional host and delivered best advice about where to ski, rent, and eat (try the ramen place- so good!) the location was perfect, 2 min walk to rental company, bus, and delicious restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and inviting, the breakfast was perfect, and we loved the private onsen after a day of skiing. Definitely recommend you stop scrolling and just book this place!

A 15-minute drive from Pilatus Ski Resort, chalet-like Nomanomori offers quaint Western rooms. It features a garden with a terrace, free Wi-Fi and a cosy lounge with a fireplace. Delightful cosy b&b with the most friendly, helpful and generous owners. Rooms are not huge but ample for a couple with lovely outlook over the garden. Breakfast is home cooked and delicious, served in a nice dining room with open fireplace nearby. The owners generously offered to serve us a home cooked meal for dinner one evening as we were having difficulty finding an open restaurant. It was delicious. Private bathrooms are small but adequate however they have a great large indoor bath/spa for guests which was so relaxing. Plenty of lovely places to visit, drives, local onsen etc and the owners have lots of local knowledge and information. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

A 10-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Winter Ski Resort, Pension Tomato offers spacious Western-style rooms with a loft area. Our visit to Tomato was absolutely incredible! The staff was extremely friendly and service-oriented, making our stay exceptional. The atmosphere was cozy, and we truly felt welcomed. The accommodation was one of the best we have ever experienced. Especially noteworthy is the fantastic onsen, which was truly the cherry on top. A genuine gem among hotel experiences!

Situated a 2-minute walk from the Happo Bus Terminal, the completely non-smoking Ski-Kan features a hot-spring bath and hotel-wide free WiFi. Excellent stay at Hakuba Ski-Kan. Great location just minutes away from the Happo Bus terminal and Lawson grocery store. Japanese style room was a cool experience. Worth noting that guests at the Ski-Kan get a 20% discount on gear rental at Woody's right next door.

I like everything about the lodge. The room has its own en suite bath tub and an outside hot bath and balcony. The accomodation also has free breakfast plus they give free shuttle to the ski resort. Chris and Dan are both so friendly and very accomodating. The place is also near Echoland which has a lot of restaurants. It's like home away from home. We will be back for sure next winter!
