Mel prepared us a wonderful breakfast, probably the best in our five weeks of travel. There were choices to suit what we felt like and the scrambled eggs were perfect. I loved the cereal choices and the great coffees. We also appreciated the fruit cake and cookies and other treats that were generously provided. The room was very comfortable with quality bedding and furniture and a beautiful bathroom and great views of the mountains. Mel’s care and warmth were very much appreciated, and her restaurant recommendations were great!

Each of the heated suites offers high wooden ceilings, sandstone floors and an elegant ensuite bathroom. The property was amazing and the staff helpful before, during and after our stay. Top shelf design and amenities - everything was perfect!

It features free WiFi and a sunny terrace with views of the Southern Alps, Lake Tekapo and Mt John Observatory, popular for its stargazing tours. Very big bed and super comfortable. The room was clean, well equipped and big enough. The bathroom was very nice and the water super warm. We found a space for our car easily. Super quiet and relaxing. The city center was a few minutes away by car.
