Situated in Tuatapere Southland, Papatotara, The Cliffs Seaside Lodge provides accommodation a walkway with direct access to the beach. Location and management were most welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and had good facilities. Most comfortable.

Set on 2000 acres of farmland bordering the Fiordland National Park, Cabot Lodge - Fiordland National Park offers uninterrupted views of Lake Manapouri and the surrounding mountains. Our stay at Cabot Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to NZ. It is a magical, idyllic location and our hosts Brad and Breidi and their team welcomed us with kindness and thoughtfulness in their attention to detail. We would definitely go back and stay longer next time we are in NZ! We HIGHLY recommend this most amazing experience at Cabot Lodge!

High Leys Lodge is located 32 km from Fiordland National Park in Te Anau, while Fiordland Cinema, Te Anau Glow Worm Caves and Lake2Lake cycle trail are all reachable within 4.3 km. Everything was superb - from our lovely room overlooking the lake and mountains beyond, to Sarah's perfect breakfasts. John and Sarah couldn't have been more helpful and thoughful - superhosts!

With sea views, Church Hill Boutique Lodge & Restaurant is located in Half-moon Bay and has a restaurant, free shuttle service, bar, garden and terrace. The entire Church Hill Boutique Lodge and Restaurant set up is designed to please even the pickiest customer. The lodge room is spacious with beautifully upholstered sitting chairs, a huge king-sized comfortable bed, and a warm wool throw for afternoon naps. The bathroom has a roll-in shower with a hand-held device to blast away the aches and pains of all the hill climbing. The mirror has a de-fog function and there is a nightlight to help you find your way. There are high quality Breville appliances available -- a water heater and a coffee machine, a teapot with filter, and plenty of loose leaf tea and coffee pods. The restaurant in the front portion of the Sara's house provides diners with a view of the bay or a place by the fire. The restaurant is filled with antiques and works of art, some by Deanne herself. Fabrics, dried flowers and herbs, and shell flatware rings decorate the table. Deanne the Chef is top quality. We ate dinner there twice just to try the various offerings - mussel patties, mutton bird potstickers, gourmet lamb chops in a wine reduction, baked blue cod with kumara, crispy salmon skin and salmon on potato cakes -- all of which were unusual and delicious! The flavors went together wonderfully. Moreover, the presentation of the dishes was exquisite! Deanne uses a lot of her home made jams, canned fruit, granola, and wonderful breads available at breakfast. Chris is the sommelier and server, and disappears while you're eating dinner to turn down the bed and put chocolates on the night stand, and who will pick you up at the ferry and take you to the airport and other harbor if needs be. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the island and has a wealth of other information to share with you. I was saddened to find that the Saras have the restaurant and lodge on the market. I'd advise those of you wanting an A-one getaway to get down to Steward Island while the Saras are still there.

Set within a World Heritage Site in New Zealand, Fiordland Lodge overlooks views of Lake Te Anau and the surrounding mountains. It offers a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free parking. A gorgeous property with incredible views. A definite highlight of our trip, was sitting on the front lawn taking in the mountains, lake and pasture of cows to the side of the property. Sitting in the main room in front of the fireplace chatting with the owner was also a highlight.

Providing mountain views, Rarakau Lodge in Tuatapere provides accommodation, a shared lounge, a private beach area and barbecue facilities. Complimentary WiFi is featured throughout the property. The accommodation was so close to the track start. Nice and safe for leaving car when hiking. Amazing hospitality throughout including a welcome drink and great chat. Fire, spa and smart TV! Ace!

Situated in Garston in the Southland region, The Garston Lodge features accommodation with free private parking. The nearest airport is Queenstown Airport, 57 km from the lodge. traditional hotel with a lovely clean and updated room. Faciltiy to make your own drinks and breakfast in commual dining room which was a good opportunity to caht with other guests.
